Unless you have been sequestered in the garage working on your project car for the last month or so, you are undoubtedly aware of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. There is some controversy about exactly who started the challenge and attached it to helping cure Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. However, there is no doubt this viral phenomenon has raised awareness of the disease and money for researching its cure—$79 million and counting.

CJ Pony Parts is a great support of charities, having donated thousands of dollars of proceeds from it annual Customer Appreciation Day show to charities like The Four Diamond Fund. This time around they are joining the ice-bucket fray to help ALS research.

Now, whether you are burned out on the concept or simply don’t have the cash to donate, there is an easy way that you can help the cause. Better yet, you don’t even have to get wet or cold to do it. That’s right, all you have to is watch a great video put together by our friends at CJ Pony Parts. Even better, the video closes out with a burnout, so there’s a definite payoff at the end.

CJPP is donating $1,000 to ALS right off the bat, but if they can get this video to surpass 10,000 views, they will increase the company’s donation to $5,000. So, see, just by watching a great video, you can help contribute a significant amount of money to the charity.

Of course, don’t be surprised—if you have been happily watching these videos from the sidelines—you might find yourself compelled to stand under the bucket yourself. As you’ll see at the end of the CJPP video, Bill Tumas challenges a number of companies that CJs works with, including TMI Products.

Well, our friend Waylon Krumrie, Sales Manager at TMI, took the baton and did his own creative spin on the challenge, which takes California’s water shortage into consideration.

So, as you can see, this is how the viral process works. Yours truly has been challenged. Of course, I have to find the time to do something creative, but you will eventually get to see cold water poured on my head whether I like it or not.

All you have to do is watch the video and help it get over 10,000 views and CJPP will increase its donation to ALS research from $1,000 to $5,000.
