Ford Performance ramps up Focus ST performance with mountune gear

If you have driven a Focus ST, you know these cars a blast. Packing 252 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque right off the dealer lot, these hot hatches make the most of EcoBoost performance. For enthusiasts, that’s just a starting point, and if you are looking for a comprehensive upgrade package for your ST, Ford Performance Racing Parts is touting just such a combo.

“The 2015 Focus ST MP275 upgrade is the latest addition to Ford Performance’s vast Focus and Fiesta performance catalog that gives enthusiasts the components they need to take their car to the next level,” Adam Gair, product manager, Ford Performance, said.

This kit includes a mountune induction kit, a mountune high-flow intercooler, a mountune mTune handset, and everything you need to install the kit. If you turn to an authorized Ford Performance technician for that installation, your Focus ST will retain its factory warranty.

“Tested and validated on the notorious British B roads, Los Angeles freeways and countless laps of the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife, the mountune MP275 Focus ST upgrade delivers maximum reliable performance,” FPRP says of the kit. “The mountune Focus ST MP275 Performance upgrade is endorsed by Ford and features factory level integration while exploiting the potential of the Focus ST.”

Thanks to the included calibration, this package boost the Focus ST’s 2.0-liter engine by 23 horsepower and 26 lb-ft of torque. If that sounds good to you, it is available in two versions, one with a silver-finish intercooler (PN 2363-280-AA; $2,149) and one with a black-finish intercooler (PN 2363-280-BA; $2,149).
