If you own an EcoBoost Mustang, you know the exhaust note leaves you wanting for a bit more. No matter how many simulated sounds are pumping into the cabin, you want your turbo four-banger to sound a bit more robust. There are numerous aftermarket options to personalize your 2.3-liter’s exhaust note, and the latest is from Hooker’s late-model-oriented Blackheart product line.
“The Hooker Blackheart axle-back exhaust for the 2015 EcoBoost Mustang is a premium product that maintains a great price. It is constructed of 2.5-inch, lightweight, 18-gauge, 304 stainless steel to maximize strength and durability. The exhaust features quality welds throughout for strength, longevity, and good looks,†says the company. “They are available with either a straight-through muffler or no muffler design that exits into either 4-inch, dual-wall, polished stainless steel tips or satin black powdercoated tips, both laser-etched with the Hooker Blackheart logo. Tube geometry is optimized for maximum ground clearance and retains the use of factory mounting points for a hassle-free installation.â€
