Each new generation of Mustangs energizes the pony car faithful. Just as the introduction of the 2005 Mustang was a shot in the arm that launched a number of successful ventures, it seems the 2015 Mustang is poised to evoke a similar reaction. Though it has been on the streets for less than a year, the S550 will already serve as a springboard for an all-new series of tuner Mustangs from Juggernaut Power’s Track Vehicle Group.

This is a rendering of the Alpha Male. It should come as no surprise that this is the top-of-the-line model from Juggernaut Power’s new Track Vehicle Group. Expect to see the real-world version of this Mustang debut later this year at The SEMA Show with turbo power and the support hardware to back it up.

That’s right, there’s another player in the custom Mustang game, and it seems they aren’t looking to play around at all. The company plans to launch a three-tiered series of hyper Mustangs in both road-course and drag-strip flavors. Its top-of-the-line unit—dubbed the Alpha Male—promises to carry a substantial horsepower rating to back up its bold moniker.

If you aren’t familiar with Juggernaut Power this new performance company is the brainchild of Mustang enthusiasts Rey Rivera and his partner Ken McAlister, who is an active-duty Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot. A veteran himself, you might best know Rey as the owner of the striking Competition Orange Mustang that attracted attention in Vortech’s SEMA trade-show booth last year.

“Our company is an online retailer of late-model performance parts. Our inventory selection is very deep with high quality parts, and it is continuously growing with new vendor lines. We want to make the customers online experience a simple one, by removing the fluff and presenting our customers with solid products, quality customer service, with competitive pricing,” Rey explained. “Juggernaut Power also has an automotive design-and-build division called Track Vehicle Group that can design and build new Mustangs with TVG performance packages or install TVG kits after vehicle purchase. We will also be catering to the Ford Focus community in the near future.”

The idea of another line of amped-up 2015 Mustangs is definitely intriguing, but what sets Juggernaut Power’s TVG options apart is that it will offer packages for two distinct missions.

“We will offer a vehicles based of the S550 platform and future Mustangs. We are offering two distinctive line-ups. One will be for drag racing duties with three tiers. The other line will be a road-course-duty vehicle with three tiers as well,” Rey explained. “Keep in mind all of these vehicle will be street legal and very dependable on both track and street. Then we will be offering our top-tier vehicle for those that want to send a message. This vehicle is codenamed Alpha Male.”

While other Mustang tuners have occasionally offer drag-racing variants, Juggernaut Power’s TVG plans to offer both straight-line and road-course Mustangs in three levels of performance. This rendering shows what the drag version might look like.

We don’t know all the details on the TVG vehicles just yet, but we can share that Alpha Male will feature a Juggernaut Power turbo system. The company is also working with a who’s who of the automotive aftermarket on its mod options, including the HP Tuners, HRE Wheels and Stop Tech brakes. However, to make the program come together, Juggernaut Power needed a partner to bring these ambitious builds to life.

“Our design lab is currently finalizing a few areas of the design. Bowen’s Garage Ford dealership in Eastford, Connecticut, will be our staging area for the builds,” Rey said. “We have partnered with Bowen’s Garage to have the support of an established Ford partner to assist in the build and support aspect. Jon and Steve Bowen, father and son ownership team of Bowen’s, have been instrumental in making all of this happen.”

The company is also working with Thompson Speedway in Thompson, Connecticut, where it will prove out all of its TVG vehicles. More importantly, those that purchase one of the cars will receive a track-day certificate to Thompson Speedway so they can learn how to harness all that performance.

How much performance is yet to be announced, but the crew at Juggernaut Power have hinted that the numbers produced by its Alpha Male will live up to the company’s name.

“Specs will be released in chapters to the public. This car will be a competitive track car as well as a car that could shake things up at mile-race events such as the Texas Mile 2K15 Race,” Rey added. “Keep your eyes and ears peeled, you might be surprised as to what two guys with crazy car ideas can accomplish.”

That is a dream that we can all identify with, but Rey has a special motivation behind his new company and its offerings.

“During multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I would imagine myself building something that would change how the world views the Ford Mustang,” Rey enthused. “Now that America’s pony has gone global, I want it to take a slice of the super-car global market.”
