Ford engineers certainly took pony car handling to a higher level with the 2015 Mustang, but if you are reading this, you might want to sharpen that handling even further. Fortunately, the crew at BMR Suspension has been busy developing products for the S550. Their most recent creation is the BMR Adjustable Sway Bar Kit (PN SB043; $379.95) for the latest Mustang.
Built from 35mm (front) and 25mm (rear) drawn-over-mandrel steel tubing, the BMR sway bars are said to resist torsional fatigue thanks to their cold-formed construction. These bars are adjustable thanks to three mounting positions and they attach to the car with 88-durometer polyurethane bushings. Depending on the mounting hole you choose, these bars will deliver an increase in sway bar rate from 28 to 70-percent in the front and 63 to 208-percent in the rear over the stock bars.
Installing the two bars should take you two to three hours and really flatten the cornering of your new Mustang. They are available in both of BMR’s signature colors—black hammertone or red powdercoat—and they are available individually if you so choose.
