We are going to go out on a limb and guess that your Christmas wasn’t quite as cool as the winner of Nitto Tire‘s Mustang sweepstakes. A lucky guy named Phil received the keys to the tire company’s nicely modded 2014 Mustang GT (built by MAD Industries) from drifting superstar Vaughn Gittin Jr.
And, it wasn’t like Vaughn just showed up to his door and handed the keys over. Nope, Nitto flew Phil out to the racetrack in Irwindale, California, but the company only told him he was one of the finalists. It wasn’t until after Vaughn showed him how to have some fun, that he let the cat out of the bag and handed over the keys. Then Phil knew he was the chosen one.
As you might expect, he was quite taken aback. You can see how it went down in this cool video…
We hope you received some nice presents, but Phil’s new 2014 Mustang GT is pretty sweet. Obviously it is equipped with Nitto NT-05 rubbber wrapped around some gorgeous Niche Vicenza three-piece, 20-inch wheels.
Under the hood, it wears a truly limited edition Ford Racing Cobra Jet intake manifold emblazoned with The SEMA Show logo.It is rounded out by the matching Ford Racing throttle body and cold-air intake. It breathes out through a Gibson X-pipe and everything works together thanks to a Tune Logics calibration. The combo generates 420 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Putting that power to the ground is a full Steeda suspension, and big Wilwood brakes rein it in when necessary.
After Vaughn took Phil for a spin (or a few spins) in his new sleigh, we are pretty sure he is fully aware of its capabilities.
