We might never own a new Ford GT, but we can’t get enough of looking at them and learning about them. This stunning super car is the stuff of gearhead dreams, but it’s not just designed to stoke our automotive passions. It is designed for performance and speed. In a new video, Ford’s designers and aerodynamicists discuss the form that creates that function.
“Both design and aerodynamics are crucial to the success of Ford GT. Ford’s GarenNicoghosian, exterior design manager, Ford Motor Company, and Bernie Marcus, aerodynamicist, talk about how Ford honored the past while including the latest in design and aerodynamics on the all-new Ford GT,” says the video description.
“Ford will race Ford GT around the world in 2016—with two cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (North America) and two in the global FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). All four hope to compete at the 24 Heures du Mans in Le Mans, France in June 2016,” the description adds.
In case you missed it, Ford Performance recently announced its driver lineup, and you can learn about the drivers here…
Yes, it is hard to believe that we are mere months away from this car making its IMSA racing debut at Daytona International Speedway and we can hardly wait.
