The Mustang is named the ultimate stunt car in Ben Collins: Stunt Driver

Formerly the helmeted driving hero the BBC’s auto extravaganza, Top Gear, Ben Collins was known as the The Stig. His latest on-car mission was to find the ideal stunt-driving machine in Ben Collins: Stunt Driver. As it turns out, the new-to-Europe Ford Mustang, earned top honors in this new movie.
“The point of this adventure was to find the perfect car for an epic, high-octane, Hollywood-style car chase, and it’s the iconic Ford Mustang that gets top billing,†Ben said. “Mustang has starred in many a classic car chase during the past 50 years, and is still the stunt driver’s weapon of choice to leave the bad guys standing in a cloud of tire smoke.â€
In addition to his secret role on TV, Ben was a stunt driver in the James Bond films Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre, as well as The Dark Knight Rises and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. He has even competed in Le Mans, GT and NASCAR race series, so he knows his way around a car, and you can watch him do work in the trailer right here…

In addition to the 2015 Mustang, the film features appearance by the Noble M600, the Jaguar F-Type, the Ariel Nomad, the Aston Martin Vanquish, and the BMW M3, but the Mustang is clearly the biggest movie start of the bunch.
“Mustang has made more than 3,700 movie appearances and has kept cinema-goers on the edge of their seats in-car chases from the legendary Bullitt sequence in 1968, to the first movie to feature the all-new Mustang, Need for Speed in 2014,†Ford of Europe Vice President, Marketing, Sales & Service, Roelant de Waard said. “Being named the ultimate stunt car in Ben Collins: Stunt Driver further cements Mustang’s place as an automotive and screen icon.â€
