The Cobra Jet stole the headlines, but Ford gear filled the show’s first day

As the 2015 edition of The SEMA Show opened, almost every announcement paled in comparison to Ford Performance’s reveal of the 2016 Cobra Jet drag car. While the wheel-standing S550 cast a big shadow, there was plenty of other Ford hardware on display at the show. Naturally, SVTP was on hand to bring you the news on all the latest Ford performance gear.
Our intrepid photographer scoured the aisles for some of the best Ford vehicles and parts on display at the show. As performance types, we get a bit more excited about the hardware than the glitzy show cars. After looking beyond the flash, we uncovered some pretty great stuff. Some of it was mentioned in our New Products Showcase story, but the good stuff is worth another look in case you missed it.
The new Tri-Y headers for the Shelby GT350 from Kooks Custom Exhaust, Edelbrock’s new Victor II manifold for the 2011-and-newer Coyote Mustangs, and Ford Performance’s new Cobra Jet crate engine were the real standouts on the parts side so far. There are still a few days of the show left, but for now check out our Day 1 photo gallery below for more SEMA goodness.
