We can’t get enough of the Focus RS. Next to the Shelby GT350, Ford’s hottest hatch might be Ford Performance’s most exciting offering that’s within the grasp of the enthusiast. It will be fast, it will drift, and it will definitely be a lot of fun. Recently the Blue Oval offered some European writers the first chance to experience the 350-horsepower, all-wheel-drive machine on its test track in Lommel, Belgium.

Representatives from Auto Car, Auto Express, Auto Trader, Car Magazine, Evo, The Telegraph, and Top Gear among others were able to ride shotgun in the 2016 Focus RS and they all seemed to enjoy the experience. And, yes, we are super jealous that we weren’t included in these ridealongs, but there is a bit of a silver lining. While those writers were there having fun, Ford’s photogs snapped off a bunch of images of Nitrous Blue hatches, which give us our best look at t the car so far.

Courtesy of these shots, we get a better look at the interior, as well as our first peek at the engine compartment, which reveals an open airbox and an expansive engine cover. The interior detail shots offer a better look at the center console and the controls for the Drive Modes, while the hatch shots show a hidden storage organizer under the hatch floor.
These photographs just make us yearn to get behind the wheel of this car even more, but for now we’ll just gaze at these shots and dream.

These pics make me want the car even more.
