Ford to invade The SEMA Show with several modded F-150 pickups

We are just weeks away from the automotive aftermarket industry’s most important week. Yes, during the first week of November all the companies responsible for building and tweaking the vehicles you love descend on Las Vegas, Nevada, for the can’t-miss event of the year—The SEMA Show. To build excitement leading up to the show, Ford has shared illustrations of many of the vehicles it will have on display at the show.

So far we’ve had a preview of the company’s modded SUV offers, including groups of Edges and Explorers. Those vehicles are obviously important to Ford, but the most Ford vehicle is the F-150, which reigns as the best-selling vehicle in America for 33 years and the best-selling truck for a whopping 38 years.

It’s obviously a success story, but as popular as the F-150 is, a stock vehicle is not really going to cut it for SVTP readers. As such, Ford is giving us several ideas of what you can do to customize the latest full-size truck. Get a preview of what’s in store for showgoers in Sin City here…

MRT F-150

“MRT took a different approach to building a fast F-150, utilizing the proven 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine and pairing it with a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission,” says Ford. “This F-150 features many go-fast bits from the large capacity intercooler and refined boost mapping for the turbos to safety features like a roll cage and race seats with 5-point harnesses. To round out their unique approach to the F-150 an attractive two-tone paint set up was used with a yellow pinstripe to help make this truck really pop even when standing still.”
