Finding the right exhaust for your new Mustang project can be a challenge. You want a more aggressive tone, but you might not want to give up all the peace and quiet afforded by the latest Mustang’s cabin. Fortunately modern exhaust technology has gotten better in that regard, and a new option axle-back option for the 2015+ Mustang GT Fastback (PN 159-0001; $599.95) from Steeda promises the best of both worlds.
“We’ve designed this fastback exhaust system to bring out the deep muscle car tone that’s begging to come out of your 5.0-liter powerhouse,†says the company. “Our exclusive axle-back exhaust design improves exhaust flow and is the perfect combination of sound and tone without introducing any unwanted drone.â€
To get an idea what it sounds like, you can listen to the system right here…
Built from 409 stainless steel, the Steeda system features polished, 304 stainless 4-inch tips designed to fill up the cutouts in the valance. The piping measures 3 inches in diameter leading up to the chambered mufflers.
