If you have been wanting to swap an EcoBoost engine into your Fox Mustang to create a modern-day SVO or maybe turn your SVT Focus into an SVT Focus ST, Ford Performance Racing Parts now has a bundle package of a 2.0-liter engine and a Control Pack harness and PCM to facilitate just such a swap.

Included in Ford Performance Racing Parts’ new bundle is the same 252hp 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine (PN M-6007-20T; $8,000) that powers the Focus ST.

Better yet, this kits offers cheaper bundled pricing on the engine and Control Pack (PN M-9000-20TK; $5,995), so if you’ve been on the fence about such a swap, now might be the time to make a move.

If you aren’t familiar with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine (PN M-6007-20T; $8,000) , this Gas Direct Injection Turbocharged powerplant produces peak flywheel horsepower of 252 at 5,500 rpm and peak flywheel torque of 270 lb-ft, but when installed with the Control Pack PCM—which features a Ford Performance calibration— and run on 93-octane, this engine throws down 90 more lb-ft of torque at 2,800 rpm and keeps belting out more torque until 4,200, so whatever project car you install it in should feel great.

Naturally you’ll probably need to do some fabricating to get this engine installed in another car, but the kit does include a few parts to help you get the job done, including a starter; an alternator; a front accessory drive and belt; an intercooler and air intake ducting; an airbox; and a manual transmission flywheel.

We know of one such successful swap into a 1986 SVO that used an early version of this kit and it turned out pretty great…

As for the Control Pack (PN M-6017-20T; $1,899) it supports the PCM and harness with an Electronic Throttle Control accelerator pedal, a power-distribution module, an oxygen sensor, and a set of colder spark plugs (PN M-12405-20T; $84) needed to maximized the Ford Performance calibration in the PCM, which is designed for a return-style fuel system.

To help you swap the potent EcoBoost 2.0-liter into another vehicle, FPRP also includes the Control Pack (PN M-6017-20T; $1,899) made up of the PCM and harness needed to swap this engine into a car with a manual transmission.
