AmericanMuscle.com makes a young Mustang fan’s dream come true

Life isn’t always fair, but sometimes dreams can come true. An 18-year-old named Johnathan Mullins suffers from a life-threatening disease. When the Make A Wish foundation offered to grant his wish, he wanted the team at AmericanMuscle.com to build his Mustang into the car of his dreams.

“When we first got a call from Make-A-Wish and we learned that Johnathan’s wish was to have us, AmericanMuscle, overhaul his car, we were honored. We were excited! We got a chance to go back and forth with him quite a bit. I got a chance to meet him early today and he’s really a great kid and couldn’t deserve this more,” Steve Voudouris of AmericanMuscle.com said.

Working with Johnathan to bring his vision to life, AmericanMuscle’s illustrators created a drawing that would serve as the template for the project. However, a concept drawing is one thing. Making it a reality with his car would be another thing. Apparently, his New Edge was beyond saving. The build would be intensive, and you can see how it went here…

“Johnathan was thrilled with the concept and told us we were definitely headed in the right direction. He was blown away by it and more excited than ever to have his wish start to take form,” said the company. “After we got his 2000 Mustang to our headquarters, we realized it was beyond repair. It had extensive body damage and a cracked frame. We were determined to keep Johnathan’s wish alive. We worked with Johnathan to help him get a 2001 Mustang GT so that we could still build the New Edge Mustang that he dreamed of.”

Working with local body shop, Malvern Collision, the American Muscle team revamped the 2001 Mustang GT with a Roush body kit and a Boss 302 Laguna Seca-style paint scheme. It is the embodiment of Johnathan’s wish, and you can see the finished product revealed at the company’s big car show this past weekend…
