There are numerous specialty variants of the 2015 and newer Mustangs available and we are certain more are on the horizon. After all, Ford really hit a home run with the S550 platform, so it’s just begging for more performance and customization. Naturally, some are more exclusive than others, and there’s a new one from Roush that’s only available to US military personnel—and we can’t think of a more deserving group.

Roush Performance recently traveled to Germany to show off its new limited-edition Warrior Mustangs to potential customers serving in the military overseas.

“We are excited to announce our partnership with Roush Performance to create a new limited-edition Ford Mustang, only available to the US military serving overseas!” says the Military Source listing for the car. “Roush has a passion for Ford performance, as do many of you. That’s why it’s not enough to just offer products and services, but also to help you live the performance lifestyle.”

Yes, while you are welcome to buy a one of Roush Performance’s staged Mustangs stateside, there are two members of the Roush Mustangs family that are only available to our active servicemen overseas. These two versions are the Roush Warrior T/C and S/C. As you might have guessed, this nomenclature stands for turbocharged and supercharged. One is based on the EcoBoost Mustang and one is based on the Mustang GT.

Roush representatives traveled to two military bases overseas and held a ride and drive event at Hockenheim Ring Track in Hockenheim, Germany.

“…Team Roush visited two military bases in Germany to support OMSC’s Warrior program. The ride and drive event was held at the Hockenheim Ring Track in Hockenheim, Germany,” said the company on social media. “It was really cool to allow the overseas soldiers an opportunity to get some seat time in one of our Roush Warrior T/C Mustangs. These Special Edition Mustangs are made exclusively for active military serving overseas. Afterwards, the Ford/OMSC/Roush went on to visit the largest USAF base in Ramstein, Germany.”

What those soldiers saw in Germany was a really special Mustang. The Roush Warrior Mustangs are only available in Black or Race Red, and they feature Warrior graphics and badging inside and out. Either paint option of the Warrior rolls on black-painted aluminum wheels with red lips.

These will definitely be rare 2015 Mustangs, and the Roush team showed off the first example of the turbocharged version based on the EcoBoost Mustang—the Roush Warrior T/C.

Starting at $41,337 the Warrior T/C includes the 201A Equipment Package, the Leather Buckets Interior Group, the Performance Package, a Shaker Pro Audio System with 12 Speakers and the choice of an automatic or manual transmission. If you move up to the Mustang GT-based S/C, it starts at $57,515 and includes a 2.3-liter TVS supercharger system, which cranks it up to 627 Horsepower. It also features an instrument cluster overlay denoting a requirement for premium fuel and its hood heat extractors are painted.

How cool must it have been for soldiers to check out this limited edition 2015 Mustang and speak with some of the people that created it? This flyer gives you a glimpse at the 627-horsepower S/C version.

“This is the only Military Mustang to be produced by Military AutoSource in 2015!” says the listing. “Now is your opportunity to celebrate 50 Years of Mustang heritage, in a vehicle that is only available to you while you are deployed overseas.”

If you see one of these on the road or at a car show, it is a real Roush Mustang, and it’s pretty rare. You also might want to thank its driver for their service.

The Roush Warrior Mustangs are available with in Black with red accents or in Race Red with black accents. This is a T/C, but the S/C version will also feature color-keyed hood vents.

Here’s a look at the red version with the black accents. It gives you a better idea what the Warrior side graphics look like.

In addition to the dash and fender badging, there is a subtle Warrior badge on the Roush grille to let people know this one is special.
