Do you want to be part of the in-crowd when it comes to choosing the paint scheme for your new 2015 Mustang? Or are you one of those seeking a rare color that will stand out in the years to come? Either way, Ford has released the data on the color choices so far across the world, and it seems there are some universal truths when it comes to Mustang paint popularity.
It would appear that people across the world love red and black Mustangs. In the United States, the top choices are Black, Magnetic Metallic, and Ruby Red. In Europe, Race Red and Absolute Black top the charts everywhere, save for the United Kingdom. There, Deep Impact Blue grabs the second spot. In China, 35 percent of customers chose Race Red, with Oxford White being the second most popular color there.
It’s not just the colors that are popular, the arrival of the S550 amped up awareness for Ford and the Mustang across the world. Since its introduction, 40 percent of potential Chinese customers are registering a more favorable opinion of Ford, and 18,000 people there have already signed up for test drives. Europeans have configured over 1.1 million Mustangs on Ford’s websites, and even in the U.S., Mustang sales are up by over 32 percent in February.
So, no matter what color you choose, it looks like Ford has a hit on its hands.
