Closing out our week of highlights with a look at The SEMA Show’s hottest car

The final day of The SEMA Show is always a bittersweet time. On one hand, it’s a bit sad to see a week of automotive excitement come to a close. Yet, for Ford performance enthusiasts, the show was so good, we can’t help but leave Las Vegas feeling a sense of anticipation for the coming year.
We certainly hope that you checked out our pre-SEMA preview story on the beautiful Cortex Racing 2015 Mustang. Highlighted by a set of HRE Flow Form wheels and a Tiger racing hood, the car looked outstanding. We can only imagine that the Vortech-supercharged stunner will really fly around the road course thanks to all of its Cortex suspension enhancements.
As you know by now, Ford yet again scored the show’s most coveted manufacturer award, SEMA’s Hottest Car award. After walking every aisle, hallway, and outside display, it wasn’t difficult to see why the Mustang galloped away with the big prize. There were simply Mustangs everywhere, and with Ford celebrating the car’s 50th birthday, it seemed quite fitting.
So, we have brought you photos of several of the great Mustangs we have seen this week, but for our final day of highlights, we thought it would be fun to highlight a few more great examples from the show floor and include a gallery of all the Mustangs we pointed our cameras toward.

Likewise, we were able to share images of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s latest Mustang RTR before the show, but it was our first chance to see the car in person. The car looked great, as did his new RTR Spec 5 concept drifter and his tuned up F-150. Suffice it to say Vaughn is on a nice strong run expanding his customization empire.What’s not to love about this retro Motorcraft look on the Cooper Tires Roush Mustang? The blend of the modern Roush Mustang with these iconic graphics just seems to work.Noted designer Chip Foose teamed up with Modern Muscle Design to create this convertible and the parts on it under the MMD by Foose banner. A lower front chin spoiler, a hood scoop, side scoops, rocker panels, and a rear wing enhance the droptop. You will be able to score these parts at AmericanMuscle.com.Packed with plenty of show and go, the Evasion 2013 Shelby GT500 has a Kenne Bell Mammoth atop its 5.8-liter engine. It probably needs the extra oomph to haul around its impressive array of in-car entertainment. It was in the ARC Audio booth, so it obviously had that gear inside, along with bits from Lethal Performance, Shelby American, Dynamat, Metra, and more. However, it’s the custom interior work from Fishman Interior Automotive Designs that really makes it stand out.There were a handful of Fox Mustangs at the show, but they were all outside. The closest one to the building was Matt Snow’s mega-powered 1993 Cobra. With a ProCharger F2 and a Snow water-meth system feeding a NASCAR 358-cube Windsor, this SVT puts down 1,019 to the feet.Earlier this week we showed you Classic Design Concepts’ Outlaw coupe, which held court in the company booth. However, its convertible was on the main stage in the Ford display, and it looked great as well.With an aggressive front valance and an Editor Turner-approved level of carbon-fiber accents, this 3D Carbon take on the S550 really shone bright thanks to its red Le Mans stripes over white paint. It is truly amazing that there are so many variations on the 2015 Mustang theme just weeks after the cars started arriving.Pushing the EcoBoost Mustang in the handling direction is MRT TKO Fastback. Riding on an Air Lift Performance suspension, the MRT 2.3-liter Mustang’s performance is enhanced by a Vortech intercooler, a JMS BoostMax, an SCT Tune, and a full MRT exhaust.Armageddon Turbo Systems showed off this 1,400-horsepower Mustang GT in the Garrett Turbochargers booth. It features a built Coyote engine, a triple-pump fuel system and, of course, an Armageddon turbo kit. The company is running a SEMA show special on this kit through November, which shaves $1,000 off the ticket.
