Love it or hate it, social media has become part of the fabric of our lives. It is where many of us pick up our news. Now, you can’t always believe what your read there, but when it comes from a credible source you have to take note. Well, earlier today the @FordMustang Twitter account broke some big news…
To be specific, it tweeted “Tomorrow’s the big day – the day ’15 #Mustang will be available at select #Ford dealers. http://t.co/ygP9bQJasP…†Shortly after it appeared, the tweet disappeared. So, the cars might be available tomorrow, or they might not. You can see the old tweets here.
We suspect the announcement might have been a bit premature, but it did get us pretty excited. We did a quick inventory search and found a car listed in our local dealer inventory, but after calling to check, the car had been ordered, but it was not in stock and it was not really expected to arrive until next month.
If the cars do hit the streets just as the media is getting its first drive out in California, it would be pretty exciting. Should they happen to arrive and you score one, please stop by and post about it on SVTP.
Unfortunately that isn’t the case. The stock unit I ordered was scheduled to be built today though.
Doing a quick search on all 2015 Mustangs across the United States, they all come back as “Plant”, meaning the order is sub’d to the plant. None are in transit to dealers yet.
Seemed early to me too, but I guess we will see what tomorrow brings…
