It’s just another day at the office. What could make it better? What if Ford Racing stopped by with a 2015 Mustang demonstrator equipped with its Touring Cat-Back exhaust system? Would that brighten your day? It certainly did for CJ Pony Parts Product Specialist and sometime video star, Bill Tumas.
It wasn’t the first time Bill had seen the S550 in person, but it didn’t change his opinion on the car. “I saw the car at the debut in Dearborn and liked it immediately when I saw it. I liked how the car seemed lower and wider and loved the interior off the bat,†Bill said. “The interior was definitely my favorite part.â€
The visit gave Bill and the CJPP team the opportunity to shoot a nice video on the car. Since the car was equipped with Ford Racing’s after-axle exhaust, the clip offered our first chance to hear the growl of a modded S550 Coyote exhaust. The car sounds great. Check it out for yourself:
The visit also got the CJPP team pretty excited about the company’s plans for modding the trio of 2015 Mustang project cars that are on order.
“We have one of each 50th cars along with a Comp Orange EcoBoost car on order. I am excited about all of them, but possibly most excited by the Ecoboost since it is new,†Bill explained. “Making power with the 5.0 should be easy and business as usual except for a few changes. We will most likely stick to basic bolt-ons with one of the 50th cars and probably go a little deeper into the EcoBoost.â€
With the CJ Auto Group’s new Spool Tuning division on line, the EcoBoost obviously offers the opportunity for the company to pave a new path. It’s a path that should broaden the audience for Mustang performance modders.
“I really think the EcoBoost will be popular, especially for the daily driver crowd,†Bill said. “With how well the Focus, Fiesta, F-150 take to basic mods, I am sure getting an extra 100 hp out of it won’t be terribly difficult.â€
We hope to follow some of the CJPP 2015 Mustang mods here, so stay tuned to SVTP.
