Every year at the Woodward Dream Cruise, Ford celebrates our favorite Pony Car with a display dubbed Mustang Alley. This gathering takes place tomorrow, August 16, at 9 Mile Road in Ferndale, Michigan. Over 1,100 Mustangs, including the 2015, are expected to fill the display on Saturday.
In addition to the Mustangs, Ford Racing will be on hand to show of its numerous performance parts for the Mustang and other Fords. Its engineers will also be there to answer tech questions.
Alongside the factory’s racing division, a number of aftermarket companies, including Capaldi Racing, Classic Design Concepts, HPI, MRT, Roush, Shelby American, and more.
A highlight of the celebration will be Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, global product development, and Dave Pericak, Mustang chief engineer, drawing the winner of the raffle we told you about a while back. The good news is it’s not too late to buy a ticket, and the proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s No Opportunity Wasted research project. You can purchase one leading up to the drawing on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Of course, the fun will continue on Sunday as the Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan hosts its Mustang Memories car show at the Ford Product Development Center in Dearborn, Michigan.
Naturally, Team SVTP is on hand covering the event, so look for our recap in the near future.
