For enthusiasts part of the Mustang’s allure is that it really presents a beautiful blank canvas to make a car reflect your personality. Admit it, as soon as you set your sights on a new Mustang you are already planning its mods. From wheels to the supercharger, the possibilities are endless. Of course, that path usually starts with exterior of the car.
Apparently that’s also true of the companies that sell those mods. Case in point, our friends at AmericanMuscle.com decided to virtually mod the 2015 Mustang in the theme of three classic Mustangs—Bullitt, Eleanor, and Iacocca.
Better yet, they didn’t just render these virtual classics for us to fawn over. They actually broke down all the styling points to give us all a bit of inspiration, and—we hope—a hint at possible future products from AM…
“…We’ve taken three classic Mustangs—Bullitt, Iacocca and Eleanor—and reinvented them in the 2015 Mustang’s skin. The 2015 parts packages that could be used to make these cars for obvious reasons are not yet available, but you shouldn’t have to wait too long for that,†the AM team said. “In the meantime, we’ve laid out what visual aspects are needed and what parts you’d have to piece together to recreate one of these icons after your 2015 Mustang is delivered.â€
Now the company is not saying they are planning to make any of these parts. However, they are allowing you to pick your favorite S550 variant and vote on it via social media using the prescribed hashtags: #2015bullitt, #2015eleanor, or #2015Iacocca. And, don’t forget an #SVTP so they know we sent you.
So, check out the renders, the inspirations, and place your hashtag vote. You might just be able to build one of these beautiful Mustangs in the future.
the bullit would be nice but I think with the new gen mustang being a world car it needs to establish its own look. the retro theme is done, that’s what we have the s197 cars for, take this new one and start from a clean slate.

That is precisely what I was thinking while looking tat those three. Trying to integrate certain elements of the past requires a careful balance. When it is overdone it simply doesn’t look right. I think Kemal Curic nailed it in his sketches (albeit, slightly tweaked).

Agreed the retro thing across the big three is played out. I’m ready for something with a new edge :coolman:

I’m a Bullitt owner but I like the Iacocca rendering the most!
I like them all, but I am partial to that Iacocca as well.
The Iacocca does it for me. I always appreciate clean lines and finish.

Bullitt looks mean!

I agree with this as well.
